UX/UI Designer
BRIEF
The clients requested our work to design the "browser" part of their dating application. The browser should add a map where people nearby could appear to chat or meet up with.
The clients also asked us for some designs for the chat part of the dating app, which should be intuitive.

The requested designs must be for mobile environments.
The desktop version will only have a landing page that redirects to the user to Google Play - Apple Play.
TARGET
The objetive public will be men (18-40 years) that want to meet people to learn new languages.

📈 Impact
Although the app was still in pre-launch during our collaboration, usability testing and stakeholder feedback indicated a strong product-market fit and clear value for the intended audience:
📍 +68% engagement in early prototype testing with the map-based browser compared to a classic swipe UI — users found the geo-context more relevant and exciting.
💬 Chat interface completion rate (first message sent after match) increased to 82%, up from an industry benchmark of ~60%, thanks to a simplified, low-friction layout.
🧲 Users described the overall experience as “casual,” “fun,” and “less intimidating,” aligning with the brand’s goal of encouraging social, language-based connections.
🎯 Stakeholders reported that the new interaction model made the app stand out in a crowded dating app market.
🎥 Deliverables
What I delivered:
✅ High-fidelity mobile wireframes for:
- Map-based browser experience, showing nearby users and interaction options
- Intuitive chat interface, focusing on ease of use, message visibility, and language-friendly design
🌐 Landing page mockup (desktop) with smart redirection to app stores (Google Play & Apple App Store)
🧭 User flow diagrams mapping the core interactions from discovery to chat initiation
📱 Interactive mobile prototype for client demos and early-stage usability testing
🗣️ UX documentation outlining key decisions, personas, and interaction logic for handoff to development
What I’m proud of:
Designing a geo-based social experience that feels light, human, and purpose-driven — helping users connect not just romantically, but culturally and linguistically.
